Description
The Agilent E5061A is a member of the ENA Series network analyzers. The E5061A addresses a broad range of measurement needs of electronic components and circuits from low to high frequencies. The E5061A now provides a new standard of frequency-domain device analysis from 5 Hz to 3 GHz.

E5061A notes
- The E5061A runs a power-on self test at every start; a failure is reported as error 241 and broken down by the internal test in the service menu.
- If the rear fan does not run, the A50 power supply is suspect; check the +3.3 V / +5 V monitor LEDs on the A21 PCI DSP card.
E5061A hardware errors
| Error | Message | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 220 | Phase lock loop unlocked | A synthesizer PLL lost lock during measurement. The service manual points to the A1 source board. |
| 241 | Power on test failed | The power-on self test found a hardware fault. Run the internal test from the service menu; the first failed test identifies the board (A1 source, A2 receiver board). |
| 240 | Calibration data lost | The system calibration file is missing or damaged at startup. The analyzer needs its adjustment data restored or regenerated. |
| 221 | Port 1 receiver overload | Too much power into port 1. If it appears with nothing connected, the analyzer is faulty. |
| 222 | Port 2 receiver overload | Same as 221 for port 2. |
| 61 | Power unleveled | Requested output power is outside the leveling range after correction. |
| — | Fatal Error: Failed to Initialize DSP / DSP Driver | The A21 PCI DSP card or A20 digital motherboard did not start. Also shown after a failed firmware update. |
| — | Fatal Error: Failed to Update DSP Code | Writing DSP firmware to flash on the A21 PCI DSP card failed; reinstall firmware, then suspect A21 PCI DSP card or A20. |
